Drug surrenderer falls in drug buy-bust
CALASIAO–Intelligence operatives of the Calasiao Police, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1 and the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, arrested a drug pusher who surrendered last year in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Quesban here on July 9.
Arrested was Anacleto Parayno, alias “Lito,” 44, a farmer of Barangay Quesban, who surrendered during the early stage of Oplan Tokhang.
He was arrested after he sold one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman with the assistance of a confidential agent who helped arrange the transaction.
When the suspect received the marked money of P500 bill, he was promptly arrested by other police operatives who were monitoring the transaction nearby.
Two more sachets of suspected shabu were found in the possession of the suspect.
A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the anti-drug law as amended was already filed against Parayno. (Leonardo Micua)
